This is another example of simply moving some existing code around to achieve a desired outcome. I seem to do better with these types of small e-commerce ‘hacks’ than with a complete ‘start from scratch’ type of project. I’m piggybacking off of a recent blog post I wrote on moving the product title above the image. This time, we are moving the product price on the Shopify Dawn theme collections page as well. Read on!

Suse, Oracle, CIQ join forces to fuel RHEL-compatible Linux distros
Good to see some big-name players making some big things happen for enterprise-grade Linux.
Here is a direct quote about the formation of the Open Enterprise Linux Association:
“With OpenELA, CIQ, Oracle, and Suse join forces with the open source community to ensure a stable and resilient future for both upstream and downstream communities to leverage Enterprise Linux,” [InforWorld]
PHP Readonly Properties: How to Use Them
With Readonly PHP properties introduced in v8.1, once a property value has been initialized, it can't be changed anymore. OpenLampTech developer interview participant and PHP security expert, Alessandro Castellano, shares principle information and examples of PHP Readonly properties in this article. [Alex Web Develop]
Three things that are driving me crazy about the move to WordPress.org
As a user and owner of both the .org and .com WordPress flavors of websites, I can attest that there is a difference. I feel like both serve the needs of different user bases. The .com version is the one I started with (and do still use to this day). However, for more freedom and a learning experience, I started up and do maintain a self-hosted .org site as well. Choosing Between PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and SQLite
At some point or another, I've used all 3 of these databases and they all get the job done. Each is slightly different from the other but is still SQL at the core. I would definitely say PostgreSQL is the most feature-rich out of the 3. But, don't sleep on SQLite either. It is the little engine that could. MariaDB is likely found on many fresh Linux installs nowadays too. [Open Source For U]
Headless Drupal: How It Works And Its Benefits
I haven't used headless anything (yet) in my (somewhat - comparatively) infant dev career. Using a headless approach allows developers the flexibility to use other front-end UI stacks or frameworks while keeping the actual content in the Drupal backend. [techbuzzireland.com]
The Future of Open Source is Polarized
There is so much to learn about open-source software and licensing. I don't recall having read a better synopsis of what is going on in several corners of the open-source universe than this brilliant piece. Meat and potatoes here, folks. [Percona]
