When I read a lot of this content, I felt It was tailored for me. Especially dealing with legacy code and projects (that I created) which are in bad need of modernization. Porting them over isn't always easy because business processes still need to run.
I once thought about this as trying to change a flat tire while still moving. Impossible in the literal sense, but hopefully you get where I'm going.
Also, one new(er) concept I took away is being okay with writing (temporary) code that will go away once the modernization is complete.
Laravel IDEA 10 automatically completes database and field entries
Laravel developers using PhpStorm as their IDE will likely appreciate additional autocompletion support for database-related code.
Quote from the source article:
“Intelligent database table and field completion allows developers to work more effectively with Laravel's query builder by automatically suggesting tables and fields to be used in migration and validation rules.”

Sessionsless Transactions in 23ai
Although not technically open-source, the Oracle Database is a robust option and I do use it from time to time in my current role. Mostly for spatial functionality.
Something interesting about this article that caught my attention is the topic of Sessionless Transactions.
Quote from the source article:
“By using Sessionless Transactions, you can suspend and resume a transaction at any point after starting it.”

Combine Multiple CSV Files Into One CSV Using Shell Scripting
I’m pretty sure I have shared this before in the OpenLampTech newsletter. But, since it is so useful, I am sharing again.
I recently answered this same type of question for an acquaintance targeting a different OS environment.
Believe it or not, this little hack is easier in Windows (lol).
