WooCommerce: Order Meta with HPOS and API
With the changes that HPOS brings to WooCommerce order storage, evaluating custom code and integrations for compatibility should be a top priority.
There are several good pointers and tips in this article from the Business Bloomer website.
Some that caught my attention for (overall) best compatibility are 1) to avoid direct database access and 2) to prefer WooCommerce native CRUD methods where appropriate.

MySQL 8.0 EOL in 2026: Upgrade Now to Mitigate Risks
It's hard to believe that MySQL v8.0 is reaching End of Life in 2026. I recall when v8.0 was first released, bringing much-needed updates like Window Functions and Common Table Expressions to the world's most popular open-source database.
However, subsequent releases have depreciated some v8.0 features, and users should start planning an upgrade path for when the time comes.

Leveraging Pandas and SQL Together for Efficient Data Analysis
I've been writing numerous Python scripts in my current role that form a data QA/QC pipeline using Pandas and Jupyter notebooks.
Pandas is a powerful library. I particularly like leveraging its .csv and .xlsx capabilities since these are the primary data files the workflow utilizes.
I'm now learning that there is another pandas nugget I have not used (yet), pandasql.
pandasql allows you to write SQL queries directly in a Jupyter notebook through a SQLite engine.

I can completely relate to this article. Especially the stages of how some developers embrace AI.
I'm still somewhat skeptical, though.
But, I'm also honest enough with myself that I use AI daily in my current role (employer pays for ChatGPT for me).
However, I still have loose ends to tie up and learn how to better leverage AI for more long-term goals and growth.
What I want to work more towards is best described in this quote from the source article:
“The developers at stage 4 unanimously declare their role has shifted. They now focus on the delegation and the verification of a task.”
