I’ve said it multiple times before. As I’m primarily a developer, database performance tuning and indexing are where you really need to know your stuff.
When the application database is slow, one way you may help with efficiency is by indexing the appropriate columns. But the type of index implemented correctly is also important.

Best Linux Distros for Development
Linux is a great developer-friendly OS.
While I’ve moved over to macOS for my personal development machine, I was a long-time Linux user for many years and used it for development.
I have the most experience with 2 of the 5 distros listed here - Linux Mint and openSUSE - and enjoyed using them both.

WordPress Deep Dive – Introduction
Whoa and wow (at the same time).
I’ve not made it nearly a piece of the way through this content, but it looks awesome.
I feel like it is made for someone like me (a developer confused about how WordPress works).
I’m learning that just because I’m a PHP/SQL/Polyglot problem-solver and developer, it doesn’t mean I automatically know and understand WordPress core from a developer position.
Sources like this will help me a great deal.
